Customised Odoo ERP solution
India
Electro Flux Equipments manufactures industrial equipment — magnets, separators, vibrating equipment, control panels and spares. Quoting that is not a price list exercise: every quotation carries technical specifications, and most are revised before they are won.
The work was to make the quotation itself the system of record, with its specifications, its versions and the reason it was won or lost all held against it.
Businesses running Odoo with OdooBots
Electro Flux Equipments runs the whole technical quotation lifecycle on a customised Odoo ERP. Technical product specifications are held in the system; quotations come in technical, commercial, magnet and spares variants; every revision is versioned; the reason a quotation was lost and the competitor it was lost to are recorded; documents go out branded and professional; and dashboards report enquiry volume, pipeline and sales performance from the same records.
Recording the reason a quotation was lost is the least glamorous part of this project and probably the most valuable. A manufacturer that knows which competitor it loses to, and on what, can do something about it.
Taken from the project itself rather than from a capability list.

Preparing technical quotations with detailed product specifications, managing multiple revisions, tracking enquiries and monitoring sales performance through manual processes produced inefficiency, inconsistent documentation and limited management visibility. The business needed a platform built around its own sales workflow rather than a generic one.
Technical detail was assembled per quotation rather than drawn from a specification held once, which is slow and produces inconsistency between quotes for the same product.
With several versions of a quotation in circulation, which one the customer holds becomes a question nobody can answer confidently.
Quotations prepared manually look different from each other, which matters when the document is the customer’s impression of the company.
Without a pipeline, follow-up depends on who remembers and management cannot see conversion.
Lost quotations left no record of why or to whom, so the same loss could repeat indefinitely.
The implementation digitised the quotation lifecycle end to end.
Product specification management so technical detail is held once and drawn into a quotation rather than reassembled for each one.
Technical, commercial, magnet and spares quotation types, so the same enquiry is presented in the form its audience needs.
Quotation version and revision control, so which version a customer holds and what changed between them are both answerable.
Lost quotation reason and competitor tracking, turning a lost deal into data about the market rather than an absence in the pipeline.
Customised reporting and branded documents, so what reaches the customer is consistent and looks like the company that sent it.
Sales dashboards and analytics alongside an improved interface and administrative tools for the people using the system daily.
Quotation preparation, revision control and sales reporting now run from one record, with the specification held once and reused.
What the client reports back, in their terms. We publish no percentages here because the project did not measure any, and a number we cannot stand behind is worth less than one we can.
Drawing specifications from the system rather than reassembling them shortened preparation and removed a source of error.
Revision management improved control over which version is current and what changed between them.
Branded, consistent quotations improve the impression the company makes at the point the customer is deciding.
Enquiry and sales pipeline became visible to management rather than held across individual salespeople.
Tracking follow-up and conversion in one place improved both the discipline and the reporting of it.
Management reporting and business analytics now come from the records the sales team already maintains.
