Anchor Marine Equipment Company LLC
Marine trading & service · GulfEnd-to-end ERP for sales, inventory, service operations, purchasing, job costing, invoicing and financial reporting.
Customised Odoo ERP solution
United Arab Emirates
Anchor Marine Equipment Company LLC trades marine equipment and services it. Those are two different businesses sharing a stock room, and before this project they were run through separate processes that only met in a spreadsheet.
The work was to put enquiry, quotation, stock, service execution, purchasing and invoicing on one database, so a job’s cost and a customer’s history sit in the same place.
Businesses running Odoo with OdooBots
Anchor Marine runs trading and service operations on one customised Odoo system, from customer enquiry through to invoice and financial reporting. CRM carries enquiries into quotations, inventory holds the equipment and spares both sides of the business draw from, service jobs are assigned to technicians and executed against the record, purchasing replenishes against real demand, and invoicing and management reporting come from the same data rather than from a monthly reconstruction.
A trading and service business is the case where one database earns its keep fastest: the part sold over the counter and the part fitted on a service job reduce the same stock figure, so neither side is working from a number the other has already spent.
Taken from the project itself rather than from a capability list.

Customer enquiries, quotations, inventory, service jobs, purchasing, invoicing and financial tracking were handled through disconnected processes. That produced manual effort, limited visibility and reduced operational control — and, as the business grew, no reliable answer to whether a particular job had made money.
Customer enquiries and quotations were tracked separately from the stock and service records they depended on, so a promise could be made against equipment already committed elsewhere.
The same spares served counter sales and service jobs, and the two sides maintained their own view of what was available.
Parts, labour and purchases against a service job were not gathered in one place, so margin per job was reconstructed rather than reported.
Without role-based access and workflow approvals, controls existed as habits rather than as steps in the process.
Management reporting had to be assembled from several sources, which is slow and makes decisions late rather than wrong.
The implementation covered the whole chain rather than one department, because the gaps between departments were the problem.
Customer enquiries captured and carried through to quotation in the same system that holds the stock and the service history those quotations depend on.
Marine equipment and spares on one stock record serving both counter sales and service jobs, so availability means the same thing to both.
Jobs assigned to technicians and executed against the record, with the work and the parts consumed captured where they happen.
Replenishment and job-specific buying running through the same system, so what was bought for a job is visible against that job.
Invoicing integrated with the sales and service records behind it, feeding financial management rather than being re-keyed into it.
Management dashboards and business reports, with role-based user access and workflow approvals so control is configuration rather than convention.
The business now runs trading and service as one operation with two revenue models rather than as two businesses sharing a store room.
nothing is re-entered between the stages, so a customer’s history is complete without anyone assembling it.
the spare sold at the counter and the spare fitted on a job reduce the same number.
parts, labour and purchases gather against the job, so profitability is reported rather than estimated.
role-based access and workflow approvals mean a control applies whether or not anyone remembers it.
management dashboards read the same records the operation runs on.
What the client reports back, in their terms. We publish no percentages here because the project did not measure any, and a number we cannot stand behind is worth less than one we can.
Sales, inventory, service, purchasing and accounts run across departments on one platform instead of meeting in a spreadsheet.
Stock and service management improved because both now read and write the same records rather than their own copies.
Both processes moved faster once they drew from the transaction that caused them rather than from a re-entered copy of it.
Job costing and profitability became something the system reports rather than something the office reconstructs.
Workflow automation removed the re-keying between enquiry, quotation, job and invoice.
Departments work from current data rather than from the last report someone compiled.
What this implementation used, written up properly.
Buying and selling with service alongside, and what changes when both share one stock.
Requests, technician scheduling, on-site worksheets and billing from the job.
Stock, locations, reordering and the costing method behind every margin figure.
